Peter Hertel Master WatchmakerGerman Watch Service in Chiang Mai |
Master Certificate | About meI was born on 08 April 1958, the son of a watchmaking family in Bad Langensalza. After school, I completed an apprenticeship as a computer and typewriter mechanic. After graduation, I began my training as a watchmaker and then acquired the championship title. Later, I took over my father's watchmaking company. There I deal with the sale of watches and jewelery and the repair of complicated watches. During my many years of work, I have gained a lot of experience. Some time ago, I relocated from Germany to Thailand and am now working for you in Chiang Mai, more precisely in the Doi Saket district. If you have a valuable watch that needs repair, please contact me. A high-quality mechanical watch would like to be cleaned and repaired by an experienced watchmaker after 5 to 8 years. Her precious, beloved watch is in good hands with me. Also visit my gallery. There I put together some repair reports and pictures. |
Repair serviceIn 1984, I acquired my master watchmaker title. In this day and age, this is a really rare occupation. Owning a mechanical watch is something special these days. It is a great pleasure to raise this clock, to hear the ticking and to enjoy the precision. From time to time, however, such a masterpiece for cleaning and repair should be brought. Of course you will find the best service with me. Trust in years of experience, excellent quality and 6 months warranty. If you use my repair service you will not be disappointed. Every movement is disassembled down to the smallest part. All parts are closely controlled and revised or renewed if necessary. This is followed by cleaning to remove any dirt and resinous grease. Also repairs to the housing are no problem. After a thorough examination of all functions, the regulation is carried out by means of an electronic time scale. When everything is perfect, the work is put back in the case. Now the clock has to be checked for several more days and adjusted if necessary. Even if there is no fault, a watch should be maintained every 5 to 8 years by a watchmaker. A mechanical movement is an absolutely precise machine that has to work reliably and, above all, accurately, even under the most difficult conditions. Most clocks have after years of wear wear on the bearings and pins on. A mere cleaning of the factory without repair of these wear points would lead to no success and does not make sense. | antique machine |
